What exactly is Hermes Agent?

Hermes Agent is an open-source (MIT) autonomous AI agent by Nous Research that you host yourself. It has a built-in learning loop: it creates skills from experience, builds memory across sessions and is reachable through messaging apps such as Telegram or Slack.

How is it different from OpenClaw?

Both are open-source, self-hosted, messaging-first agents. Hermes emphasises the learning loop with skills and memory; OpenClaw a broad tool and integration ecosystem. In the training we compare them on your own use case.

Is Hermes safe enough for business use?

Not out of the box. In their default configuration agent frameworks like Hermes have broad shell and file access, and vulnerabilities have been published. We spend a full block on restricting permissions, approvals, secrets management and monitoring.

Do participants need technical knowledge?

Some comfort with the command line and a server helps, programming experience is not required. For mixed groups we split into a business and a technical track.

How long does the training take?

One half-day (3-4 hours). An in-depth implementation day or team coaching can be added.
